I would like to tell you a little about myself, and how I got started as a singer, (if I can remember that far back)!!  I believe I was about six or seven when I first sang in public, I was always singing at home, and so my parents decided to get me to sing on the stage at our local social club, where I use to go every Saturday with my three older sisters, I do remember I was quite keen as I had seen my sister deidre get a box of chocolates for her efforts.  So that’s how and when I began to sing, and I haven´t stopped.
I got my first professional job when I was twenty, I was so excited and very nervous, although I had worked with various bands since leaving school, and had lived and worked in London and use to enter pub competitions, and I had professional singing lesson, this was different; I was giving up a good job and going abroad to Germany for two weeks with a bunch of people I didn’t really know, apart from a few rehearsals a week before the trip. But I need not have worried, I had a great time, we all got on well, and when this trip was over we went to Dubai for three months.  It was November and freezing cold in the UK, where I was going to was very hot glorious s sunshine, and we were working in a five star hotel .

After a couple of years I then joined another band called Elan O B, they had been performing together for over ten years, they had a very good reputation and I felt very privileged to part  of such a successful band.  We played all the military bases English and American, here in the UK and Germany, as well as the major holiday camps like Butlins, and corporate company  doo´s, in venues such as Four Season Hotel on Park lane.  I stayed with them for four years and have some very fond memories.
Then I was one half of a boy girl duo, we went by the name of September, we did a tribute to the 60´s 70´s and 80´´s, and had costumes made for each era, it worked very well and we were very popular and in constant demand.  We were together for three years, until I discovered I had asthma, I was constantly coughing and unable to sustain note and so another singer was brought in.

Out of work and a single mother of two children I was very worried.  But I got the asthma under control.   Thankfully because of my good reputation as a good strong singer and reliable, and having some great agents that were willing to take a chance on me, I was soon back on the road again as a solo performer.
I haven´t looked back!  I am kept pretty busy,  I have travelled to Germany,  and thanks to Pete Langford of the Barron Knights Bahrain, Dubai and  Abu Dhabi  and  the major holiday camps around the uk.
To say I love to sing is an understatement, and now I´m very proud to say that my son and daughter are following in my footsteps, Katie as a performer and my son Shane is a song writer and producer of his own music, I would love it if you checked out there web sites.
